Canada will play in their first Men’s World Cup in 36 years, after beating Jamaica 4-0

Kyle Larin and Tajon Buchanan put Canada up two goals at half-time. At the second half. Junior Howlett then scored, and and an own goal sealed the victory in Toronto.

Canada’s last World Cup appearance was at Mexico in 1986, where they finished bottom of their group without scoring a single goal.

Meanwhile, the U.S., Mexico, Costa Rica and Panama are all in contention for the final two automatic qualification spots.

The fourth-placed country in the table earns a play-off against the winner of Wednesday’s final of Oceania qualifying, which will be between the Solomon Islands and New Zealand.
